While I personally feel an easy setting in Sekiro would be great, I don't buy the idea that From is 'disrespectful' by not including it. Sometimes artists want to make something esoteric & challenging & if that's how they express themselves that's their prerogative (1 of 2)

The issue with an easy mode in a From game, is that it could remove all sense of reward and tension from them. Like for example, Imagine if Gyoubu hit you for maybe a tenth of your health, and you hit him and his posture goes down a tenth, would that be satisfying gameplay?

To many people, yes. Maybe not to you, but to many it would - just like every other game is

Just because the easy setting is there doesnt mean you have to play it. You can have the "intended" experience while someone else has the easier one. They arent mutually exclusive.

Ohhh noo. So a dev takes slightly longer to make a game more playable for people who aren't "hardcore." Not to mention older, arthritic, or otherwise disabled. THE HORROR! This gatekeeping crap is ridiculous.

You can still play on the harder difficulty (oh sorry the TRUE experience my apologies) if the easier mode exists. You can get your hardcore gamer rocks off that way all you want. An easy mode doesn't remove that possibility.

My apologies. I get fired up about this topic because it just makes no sense. I'm a huge fan of FromSoft games (modern day at least) but I still feel the games wouldnt be ruined by it. Difficulty modes have existed for years. Why suddenly are they the devil to people?

I want more people to be able to enjoy the thing I enjoy. An easier mode would make that a better possibility. Based on skill level or disabilities, my "easy" mode could be someones "hard" mode. They'll still get a challenge.
