The big thing we need to get across is that SEEMINGLY small temperature change is actually MASSIVE on the ecosystem. People just see it as "oh, it'll be 1 degree warmer, no big deal, it was 5 degrees warmer today than it was yesterday and nothing died". That is the sticking point

I imagine that by the time we get our act together it'll be far too late. It might already be too late to avoid most of it. We need to try, of course, but I'm not optimistic on that front either.

I honestly struggle to stay optimistic and I worry what the world will be like when my nephew grows up. Corporate greed and willful ignorance by powerful people is an anchor around the world's neck.
