My wife has severe PTSD from a prior abusive relationship, and while as a combat vet I don't suffer from it myself, some of my closest friends (the strongest men and women I ever had the pleasure to dodge sniper fire with) do.

It definitely gave me a leg up on being supportive and understanding when we first started dating, and now ten years of marriage later, it's been a bumpy road, but one I've never regretted going down.

I think I shared this or a very similar post a few months ago, but some advice I don't think this one mentions is learning to Meditate, that shit has kept me from going insane for the past two-three years now.

Thankyou for sharing the panic/anxiety tips. I hate that my teen daughter has a couple of times now been the one to carry me thru an episode and to have a list of things she can refer to is so great.
