I played the demo and I loved the forensics mechanics, and how the investigative side of it played out... but the story and the dialogue were awful. And my conflicted experience with Beyond: Two Souls puts me off wanting to play the full game.

Yeah I didn't even get 3 chapters into Beyond. This one does have a bit more pull for me due to it's interesting locations, but in the back of my head I'm like 'Do I REALLY wanna watch this little girl getting abused?' and the answer is no, not really

I’ve been enjoying it, but can only do a few chapters at a time. All while I hear

I'm just gonna watch the Super Best Friends' playthrough of it when they begin it. That's probably the best way to experience a David Cage game.

I haven't played it but I'm kinda sick of the trend of anthropomorphising robots. When allegories of racial separation are made with no regard for the nuance of robots, beings literally designed for a chosen purpose, it burns my toast as a writer.

Was just saying something similar on Podquisition this week... it's in danger of becoming the next zombies

Isn't that the point of the game?

To feel like a chore? In one scene I can see why that would apply, but as a long narrative experience that's not gonna keep me invested
