    A Constitution-free zone? College prides itself on fidelity to the rule of law and the Constitution as well as individual freedom, but its home apparently believes that the Constitution and decisions of the Supreme Court don’t apply there . . .

    This ordinance would ban abortion at any stage of pregnancy, forbid Hillsdale community members from offering help to loved ones seeking abortion care, and call upon Hillsdale residents to sue neighbors they suspect of seeking or obtaining an abortion.

    The proposed Hillsdale City ordinance would: ❌ Ban abortion any stage of pregnancy. ❌ Criminalize anyone who provides transportation or other assistance to a patient seeking abortion care. ❌ Allow anyone to sue others they suspect of seeking or obtaining an abortion.

    There are 17 states with abortion ban trigger laws and/or pre-Roe abortion bans that could go into effect if Roe v. Wade were overturned. Translation: The right to abortion is on the line.
