Haven’t had as much to say about the assault on Idlib as I normally would for a couple of reasons. This eventuality has been obvious for a long time and it’s clear from the denial and inaction that nobody is going to stop it. What do you even say under such circumstances?

Poverty, homelessness, sickness, disability, age. You need a safety net. Friends, family, money. They are the net. If you fall without a net you hit the ground HARD. The suicides, the rough sleepers, the old person freezing to death. They didn't have a net. Be someone's net.

If Universal Credit can give a person a loan why can't they pay the benefit from day one!?

I've written to Boris Johnson demanding urgent clarification of his government's position on Trump's 'peace plan' for Israel - Palestine. Is he really prepared to abandon the most basic principles of human rights and international law?

Just so happy to see this. Watch For Sama (those who haven’t) & pay attention to Idlib, where it’s happening all over again.

I had this fantasy that once 'Brexit was done', the media would retire Farage. So far, my hope has been dashed and he is getting a chance to say 'My job's done', many many times.

Vulnerable people, rescued at sea, condemned to a state of limbo: survivors onboard are still awaiting the allocation of a safe place. Once again, this urgently highlights the need for a predictable & humane mechanism for disembarking those saved in the .

Trump's Middle East 'plan’ shows contempt for the rights of the Palestinian people and international law. Over 130 parliamentary colleagues and I are calling for the UK government to condemn it, and pursue a genuine effort to secure real peace.

In my humble opinion, a great nation is not judged by the number of billionaires or nuclear weapons it has. It is judged by how it treats the weakest and most vulnerable people amongst us.

Can you please sign this petition to stop the government from deporting black British citizens to Jamaica. More planned deportations are due next month. I would be really grateful if you could RT too. Thank you 🙏🏽

Last week, the leader of Britain First stormed into my town’s Islamic council. This is the same Paul Golding who boasted that his members have joined the Conservative Party after the election. This is a real threat. Please take it seriously and stand in solidarity.

Labour is an internationalist socialist party. Post-Brexit, we must continue to put our principles of international solidarity into practice - across Europe and around the world.

In the weeks, months and years ahead, we must be absolutely clear: Attacks on the working class come from those who arrive by private jet, not migrant dinghy.
