I know you recommend a more performant and reliable HW but... does it make sense to flash ubuntu server and follow the guide w/ a RPi4? or is in that case better just use specific/packed RPi node implementations like Ronindojo, Raspiblitz, Mynode etc?

You can follow the guide with RPi4, but there'll be edits/differences. There's a written guide for RPi4's at raspibolt.org.
