I don’t get this, I’m equally pretty in bothhttps://twitter.com/ishitayadav/status/982255494835220481 …

It's like these people don't know you were on The Office and you're a extremely successful comedian.
that wasn't the point nnn
Intent vs impact hunty. #getintoit recognize colorism when you see it. Stop defending anti blackness/colorism
nnn i was supporting you.
the point was colorism exists whether or not she was a successul actress or not.... but thankspic.twitter.com/yEDk8LxXyV
i mean.... we've been watching the mindy project since it began from start to finish. but i get it, y'all are so ~edgy~pic.twitter.com/nF66gUfadW
People who point out the skin tone are crazy!I'm from the Middle East and when I don't go out for a while or during winter my skin color differs a lot from going out during summer, should I always pick my darkest color photos or my lightest? Not to mention the lighting and cameras
Yes yes!! OMG thank you! Someone here called me a chameleon a while ago for saying that my skin colour looks different at different times!
Well, why would you even say something like that? Arent you trying to defend yourself against colourism? Saying your face looks different shades at different times seems to imply you like the lighter shade better.
It was a response to skin lightening/bleaching accusations. To people saying that just her skin is looking lighter because she got it lightened. Jeez.
Also, STOP READING SO MUCH INTO MY WORDS AND TELLING ME WHAT I “SEEM TO IMPLY”. It’s really stupid.
Wow, you DONT GIVE A SINGLE DAMN, DO YOU? (That's right - I can use caps too) Whole of Twitter retweeting you and no shred of regret. Question to you : would you have used the pic on the right, red carpet etc., BUT if she was the same shade of brown as on the left?
Yes obviously I would have. It was randomly picked and had nothing to do with how light or dark her skin likked. Also, a handful of you don’t represent the “whole of Twitter”. Don’t flatter yourself.
Ok then. As long as you mean that.
I didn’t get see this and think “wow her skin looks darker” I saw just another pointless belittling of another human being. I feel bad for @mindykaling ...girl you’re gorgeous!!!!! Makes me glad not to be famous.
Wasn’t belittling her. She’s a personal hero of mine.
I don’t understand. The post says if you don’t like me at my worst you don’t deserve me at my best. How is that “she’s my hero?” What am I missing?
It’s a reference to a character she plays in this show called The Office. Kelly Kapoor. So sometimes I’m insufferable (albeit charming) like Kelly Kapoor.
Ooooohhhhh....I better start watching so I can come back with

instead of my assumptions ....oops. (Can find the ass in assume emoji)
You must watch it!! It’s hilarious! :)
It moved to next in my binge list
Season 1 isn’t quite as funny, but once you get to season 2, you are going to love it!!!
