Thank you so much for sharing! It showed up on my iPhone calendar and I was so confused (silly white chick naivety). Now it sounds like an amazing holiday that I would love to take part of. Thanks again!

Oh hun, I’m one of those girls who has never left New England. I have never been in a plane! We’ll see someday! It would be worth it, I know!
-
That's very uncommon to listen! Anyways yes, do come.

It is not only a 'Hindu' Festival. Holi is an Indian festival. Every religion celebrate it as national festival... Happy Holi...
-
It is a Hindu festival adopted by everyone.. I celebrate Christmas like many non Christians do too that doesn't mean it stops being Christian.
-
A festival become meaningless when it is painted in religious color...
-
Jst because u think it doesn't make it so.. That's like saying If Americans and British sing Indian national anthem, it stops being Indian..
-
With due respect sir... I am a simple thinker... I just believe...festivities do not have any religion and if it is wrapped with any religion then it is not any festival. Period! Love & light
-
Sure.. I respect what you think.. I think while everyone is welcome to celebrate the way they want, the origins and the significance should not be lost in the process. Have a good day!
-
Sir... you are welcome. Religion is like a pond or a lake - waves will never come. You will get only ripples there. But culture or festivity is like ocean...waves come there. Culture enrich civilization. Religion enrich self.
