One of my most favorite moments was *that stare* after that Mahjong game, from one Mother to another. That was so powerfulz It’s a look of anger, but also pride. It was a Mother’s look — one of the many. Made me miss my Mom so much. Wow, I’m crying again.

Yep made me cry too. We work hard and sacrifice to make sure our kids have what they need.

The scene where she sees her mom hit me like a ton of bricks, and I was raised with both parents. I looked over to see my bf crying. He raised his two kids as a single parent and was feeling the full weight of Rachel’s love and gratitude for her mom.

The fact that Rachel's mother commended her for being brave and clever struck me so hard as the mother of a daughter.

sooo my second watch, I cried more than the first. It's just a lovely movie and very heartfelt. Anyway, I hear the woman 2 seats over ask her husband (next to me) "are you REALLY crying?" As he was wiping his tears I wanted to reach out all glassy eyed and say "I understand..."

I like how they emphasized the mother and daughter bond. It's simply powerful. It shows no matter how old you are...you always need your mama!

I have not cried in a movie in years, did not bring tissues, was already tearing up during the sadness sequence, the mother daughter moment made me shove up my glasses to wipe the tears off my face with my sleeves. Was not prepared.

Recently lost my husband, eve though my family is East Indian they abandoned my kids and I. No support in any way... puts things in perspective.

Sorry about your loss. You have what matters. The people who leave are the losers.
