💤 Message Snoozing Tons of requests for this one. We've held off because the Gmail API doesn't support syncing snooze state, but today we're introducing a "Labs" version of this feature that can allow you to perform client-side snoozing.

So happy about this. Would it make sense to have (at least as an option) a new Label in Gmail called Mimestream-Snooze or something, where your snoozed messages go to/return from? I would like it since I am sometimes using Gmail on the web instead of Mimestream.

The roadblock with actually moving messages is that if Mimestream isn't running (e.g. your Mac is asleep) then it won't be able to unsnooze the message. Some other apps do this with an intermediary server that can access to your account to do the unsnooze, but we don't do that.

Yeah, I get that. But next time I ran Mimestream, it’d pop back to the inbox… I dunno… I share your frustration that you have to hack it together in lieu of an API.

Totally understand! Realistically, we think it makes sense to add/remove the Inbox label when we have an iOS app, since they don't sleep offline the way Macs do and we can unsnooze at a given time. However, we'll think some more about offering it on macOS. 🙏
