in a conversation with person A, if you fwd an email to person B, and then use the global reply button/shortcut (cmd+R), it will default to person A as recipient, which seems counterintuitive to me (VS default to person B). What do you think?

That’s currently the intended behavior, as the forward is considered auxiliary to the main conversation. However, we are planning to add a way to have a “focused message” in the conversation view to make it easier to just select a specific message and hit ⌘R.
