How do you change the default font size when composing a new email?

However, you can change the Text Size in Preferences > General, which affects the compose window too. This will increase the font size you see on screen, but won’t embed any font size information into the sent message.

I've tried that, but have only seen an increase in size when reading received messages.

That seems like a bug, as it should increase the displayed size of text in compose windows too. Can you email support@mimestream.com with a screenshot of what you’re seeing?
