Is there a keyboard sequence to put focus on the search result list after executing a search? I'd love to be able to do command+option+f → term → enter → up/down

No, but that’s a great idea and something we will add to our list!
Right now the only thing you can do is to hit tab a few times until you reach the message list. Not very elegant.
