hello - do you know if mimestream supports a notifications badge for inbox count? ideally i would all inbox messages (not just unread). i have "badge app icon" enabled in sys prefs > notifications, but didn't see anything for a badge in the mimestream settings.

Currently, only the unread count is supported as a badge on the app icon and in the sidebar. The “total” count is not a supported option.

okay. ah i think i realized what's happening – i have inbox notifications themselves turned off in mimestream because i don't want inbox alerts. but turning those off seems to also disable the notifications badge feature from working.

Correct, that account setting controls the app icon badge too.
If you only want to turn off the slide-in alerts (and/or sounds), you can do that from System Preferences > Notifications, but otherwise leave the Mimestream account preference for notifications to be the Inbox.
