- if I move an email into Promotions, Forums, etc., will it move all emails from that address to those buckets? I don't think that's what's happening but would be great if it did!

Hi Haroon! No, at this time, only individual messages are moved. If you move the message within Gmail’s Web UI, there’s an option to “Always move”, but that isn’t exposed via the API.
