We’re exclusively focused on Gmail for the 1.0 release this year. However, IMAP and Outlook support are very high on our priority list, and we hope to start working on IMAP shortly after 1.0.

Can't wait! (: I've heard that IMAP is a pain to code for, and it would seem to me that the Microsoft Graph and JMAP REST APIs would be simpler to implement because of the architectural similarity to the Gmail REST API. Is IMAP coming first because of higher demand?

Yeah, from past experience, IMAP is definitely very hard to do well — I could do some refactoring to share quite a bit of logic with JMAP, but probably not IMAP. I didn’t mean to imply IMAP will actually launch first — only that work will start on it shortly after 1.0.
