Does it have contacts support built in ? Or is it on the roadmap for future releases ?

Mimestream supports autocomplete using the macOS Contacts app's framework – if you add your Google account to the Contacts app, Mimestream will see all of your Google contacts.
Direct support for Google Contacts is on the roadmap too, but not currently present.
