    An observation on following on Twitter: follow fewer able-bodied white men, more of others. Trans Asian folks will often retweet white men if they're cogent. Black lesbians retweet white men if they're interesting. Cis white men almost exclusively retweet other cis white men.

    I know of at least 80K people in swing states that *wanted* to vote for the Dem candidate, but were de-registered before the election. There was no accountability for this injustice. I know of at least 500K folk deregistered in this election already. It's Feb. It's simple math.

    I know a LOT of people who voted for Trump in 2016 but will not vote for him again. On the other hand, I don’t know a SINGLE person who did not vote for Trump in 2016 but plans to vote for him in November. That’s why Trump is likely to lose: It’s simple math.

    Urban Dictionary is a reflection of those that use it. Many of those groups are antisemitic. And racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, ableist, … The question for all of us is whether we'll accept things as they are or strive to improve. UD has chosen "neutrality."

    Today's honoree for is Dr. Edward Bouchet. Dr. Bouchet was the first African American to earn a Ph.D. in physics from any American University. He has established a legacy of excellence for all African American physicists.

    Nigerian immigrants are by far the most educated immigrant group in the US. Over 20% have *graduate* degrees. But... They're also black. So due to the "travel ban" Nigerians will no longer be allowed to get green cards. The ban was never about security.
