I'm afraid you're not 100% correct on the second one. I've several times not been allowed to take a parcel for me as I've not had passport or driving licence on me
-
You can take your bank card I've picked up a parcel with just that before

What will count as voter ID?
-
A conservative party membership card is the preferred voter id.

When I worked in financial inclusion, there was a long list of types of ID that banks could accept if someone didn’t have a passport or driving licence, but very low awareness meant these were often rejected. Seems to be a clumsy solution to a problem that doesn’t exist.
-
It isn't a solution. It's a mechanism to prevent poorer people (who disproportionately don't have photo ID) from voting.

Been thinking about this. It's obviously a voter suppression tactic. One strategy to derail it would be for Labour to demand the ID was in the form of an App on people's phones. This would more likely disenfranchise Tory voters disproportionately and the idea would be dropped.
-
I don't think they would be against that considering they want to push through a digital ID card.
