Chesa started poorly by dunking on Wikipedia, but he’s been very informative since. Mike et al are doing an amazing job keeping him focused.

I agree his insights are interesting but imho most of the time he's deflecting. I think my main point is: ok tech at SFDA's office is awful but I guess it was the same before Chesa as well, so why should it absolve him now?

Is he, though? He reminds me of what I would do in civics class when I didn't know the answer: throw as much ideas, statistics and information out there that there's no message left And I think people can tell

Ha, as a regulatory lawyer—so, bureaucratic-adjacent—a lot of his arguments are compelling and vibe with my own experience of bureaucratic hell. It’s a fundamentally broken system, he knows it and can do a great job describing it, but he’s not super interested in fixing it.
