The one thing about Gen Z that really makes my skin crawl is the misuse of the word "aesthetic." Aesthetic is not a 1:1 for beautiful. Aesthetic is a deeply personal relationship to something & is entirely subjective. There can't be "10 aesthetic typefaces." That's not a thing.

Any time it comes up I turn into Leo pointing at the screen and tell my wife look look there it is! THAT'S NOT A THING. And she says it's kinda the same as "literally" it's just a co-opted word that has an entirely new meaning.

I know I know. My wife (The diction part of S&D) is like LANGUAGE EVOLVES GET OVER IT! But I LITERALLY took a class on aesthetics with the most thoughtful teacher I've ever had so I'm defending his honor.

In your example about typefaces, that’s just a blatant misuse of the word. Trying to use it as an adjective is just clumsy and makes no sense. Haha
