It’s hard to find the right words to say about a man who changed my life and my family’s life forever. A man with a larger than life personality, whose toughness, wit and tenacity rivals anyone I've ever met. Simply put, there is no one like Tommy Lasorda.

Today we buried my father. Thank You very much to all of you who were so kind to him. He was always happy around the ballpark. Front office, teammates, clubhouse guys, and of course fans were incredibly gracious. You brought him much joy. Miss You Dad.

So sad to hear Tom Seaver has dementia. He will always be the heart and soul of the ,the standard which all Mets aspire to, this breaks my heart. Do not feel worthy to be mentioned in the same breath, yet honored to be with him in the #Mets #MLB

Very excited for fans. This off season has the same energy as ‘98, ‘99. Putting a Great team together is very important, but you still have to prove it on the field. Work is just starting. #LGM

Always touches my heart to see the emotional messages of remembrance today. Truly grateful to all that honor us who played the first game after the attacks. A sad day however as I think of those lost and the part of our hearts that is missing. May God give you peace.#NeverForget

For what it’s worth I strongly disagree with policy on not allowing the or any other team to wear police or first responder hats for 9/11 games. Understand their argument but non analogous with respect to other tragedies, and/or other events

It ain’t over, ‘til it’s over! #OTD in 2000, @mikepiazza31 sent a packed Shea into a frenzy by capping off a 1️⃣0️⃣ run inning with this 3-run HR. 🔶🔷 @KonicaMinoltaUS 🔶🔷

Very sad that Rush drummer Neil Peart has passed away. He was very inspiration to anyone who loved the drums. His talent and musical arrangements will be missed as they have given so much joy to many. May God Grant you rest and peace.

Mike Piazza, who famously hit a go-ahead home run in the first game after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center, will attend the 20th anniversary game between the Mets and Yankees this year at Citi Field.
