Ended up ordering an iCE40HX8K-EVB from Olimex. An inexpensive no-frills board with lots of IO

It's for an interface between two parallel busses (Raspberry Pi SMI and Genesis cart slot). So lots of signals, but just a bit of glue logic between them

Anyone have a suggestion for an FPGA dev board with a lot of user accessible IO (83+) that is supported by an open aource toolchain? Currently looking at the Lattice ECP5 board, but it is kind of overkill since I don't need a lot of logic

I can't believe that one of the most infamous assumed vaporware cyberpunk-themed games on Mega Drive is actually coming out while the most hyped cyberpunk-themed game in modern platforms is being pulled out of sale.

I don't generally make a habit of buying Windows games (except for VR since pickings are pretty slim if you stick to native Linux titles), but I ended up picking up Cyberpunk 2077 for work and it works surprisingly well with Proton Experimental + kisak PPA Mesa

FLOSS and accurate Mega Drive emulators are not just rare: there is only BlastEm by . I'm glad to announce that Games will include BlastEm after we fixed remaining issues in its core. I'll finally be able to play my favorite console with my app. 🥰

If you haven't downloaded the CA Notify tool, please do so. It's private, anonymous & secure. The more Californians use it, the safer we will all be.

tfw you drop $2500 + tax and shipping on a copy of Outback Joey and it's actually a purposely broken copy of Sonic Spinball with an inkjet printed fake label

I wish Kaiser's site didn't imply it was possible to get an in-person appointment by calling when in actuality all they can offer is the same stuff you can currently do online. Even if you have an obvious need for an in-person visit like say removing stitches

If you haven't heard already, last night's berkmtg didn't get to the parking item at all. It's been pushed to 12/15. If you haven't written to council yet, do it now!

Would be great if my landlord would reply to the email I sent 3 weeks ago, or the one a week ago or the text I sent today so I had an answer on whether I'm getting decent internet by getting fiber installed here or moving out

If you’re a Berkeley resident PLEASE give input on parking requirements. Parking is incredibly expensive - both in the land it takes up and the cost to construct it. Make sure that cost is only mandated when really needed!

Live in Berkeley? Give your input so we can stop subsidizing car use by making housing more expensive. It's a multiple-choice survey so it's super easy to make your opinion heard

My first time attending a city council meeting was to support this the first time around. Excited to see this nearing the finish line. I've stepped away from local politics as it's been a very difficult year (not just for the obvious COVID reasons), but I have to show up for this
