I was a newspaper guy for 20 years and BH/Lee definitely beat any remaining love I had for local journalism out of me. On the upside, it was easier to leave and not feel as bad about it

Alright I’ll bite. A full understanding, best I can tell, is Democrats think a multiyear commitment of funds for veterans exposed to toxics is justified, and Republicans would prefer that it occupy space in the annual discretionary spending budget so other programs can’t get in.
