OK, got my codecs sorted. Here's an early exploration of the Spellslinger's unsheath animation. This is actually version 2 of our human male model- we shipped with v3. (I spent a lot of time obnoxiously practicing this with toy pistols around the office.) #WildStar #animationpic.twitter.com/qJjToE1n6W

Should be mentioning here, I just realized, that all these awesome early-days
#Wildstar character models I'm posting animations on were concepted by@CoryLoftis and modeled by@RogerEberhart and/or Brandon Dix, all ridiculously talented artists.1 reply 0 retweets 11 likesShow this thread -
My first pass at the
#Aurin Male's combat ready. This was very WIP, pre-hair#animation. I'm *pretty* sure this never went to game. The Aurin males gave me this "anime protagonist who's got something to prove" vibe, so I wanted them to come across scrappy & aggressive.#WildStarpic.twitter.com/EYnUTuiJlC1 reply 3 retweets 19 likesShow this thread -
An early
#Aurin Male unarmed attack, based off of that early unarmed ready. Gameplay dictated we couldn't use a double-slash for a default attack, so it was scrapped. Also some early exploration into using non-uniform scale in XSI for stretch-frames.#WildStar#animationpic.twitter.com/JJaAxNQ9XA3 replies 3 retweets 27 likesShow this thread -
Many people asked over the course of
#WildStar to get rid of the underwear on the Chua and Mechari races- but most races were actually originally modeled without them, clothes were added over top. Here's an "au-naturel"#Granok male in an early run#animation I was trying.pic.twitter.com/dUHKzyCqXt1 reply 4 retweets 34 likesShow this thread -
This animation was in the game, but like the granok male, I'm posting it for the sake of the novelty: a clip I found of the
#Draken female's 'nude' model playing her death animation.#WildStar#animation#GameDevpic.twitter.com/eFCpZZafNC1 reply 4 retweets 25 likesShow this thread -
This character was originally named "Granny Adnia," an elderly female
#Ekose who was a central NPC in a zone. Granny Adnia ended up being cut, and while she did end up in the game under another name, I'm pretty sure you never see this old lady walk#animation .#WildStarpic.twitter.com/NbjJKss5oe2 replies 5 retweets 32 likesShow this thread -
Only ever named "Vultureman," this guy was an extra character modeled, but never scheduled for
#animation time. I thought he was cool so I animated him in my spare time, hoping I could get him into the game, but couldn't find enough time to finish him.#Wildstar#GameDev#Birbpic.twitter.com/ZcbxkBzj1M2 replies 12 retweets 49 likesShow this thread -
Main reason I gravitated to him- seeing the big heavy arms, feathery hunchback and long bird-neck- I REALLY wanted to animate his walk. I was pretty happy with how it came out. He was fun, I wish I'd had time to do more with 'im.

Well I think that about wraps up my trip down memory lane. Hopefully the never-before-seen stuff was a little interesting to #WildStar fans, anyway. Thanks to all who played the game!! #animation #Chua #Cupcakes #GameDevhttps://youtu.be/0LuXtPfVP1w
