Among those now speaking out: spox says he "believes the administration has failed to articulate a plausible plan to ensure the country is prepared for the surge." He is the 5th in-cycle Dem senator to raise alarms.

this story by and about Dianne Feinstein is important. They report that Feinstein is in mental decline, and her colleagues are worried about it.

Talked to some Ukrainian fighter pilots about how they’ve managed to keep the airspace contested against superior Russian jets. We ended up discussing how more MiG-29s aren’t really what they need.

If Dan Snyder is found to have been "hiding money that was supposed to be shared among NFL owners," as former WFT VP alleges, hooo boy.

Corollary to this: if the dinner had been, say, across the street at the Marriott Marquis, would have some juice here. Gridiron booked a non union room.

A central part of the Gridiron Covid outbreak story is that dozens of people who were in the room, as hotel employees, have been disappeared from the stats. Their employer won’t say if any got sick, probably for business reasons. They probably risk jobs if they speak out.

Just in: Biden signs legislation cutting off Russian oil imports and suspending normal trade relations with Russia and Belarus. Both passed 100-0 in the Senate yesterday and with just a handful of “no” votes in the House.

It's actually even harder than that. Just because a Republican would support a nominee wouldn't mean they would vote to override McConnell's control of the floor.
