My random photo of the day: Damascus six months prior to the outbreak of civil war. The gun shot holes in the ceiling relate to a decades old incident of violence.

Dear Amazon, I bought a toilet seat because I needed one. Necessity, not desire. I do not collect them. I am not a toilet seat addict. No matter how temptingly you email me, I'm not going to think, oh go on then, just one more toilet seat, I'll treat myself.

Poor John. Deceiving the proletariat was so much easier back in his day. This new fangled internet machine really shows him for the duplicitous shitweasel he is.

20% of domestic abuse police incidents recorded in 2016-17 involved a male victim. Actual number may be higher due to under-reporting. Approx. 75% (where recorded) of the callers to our Helpline have never spoken to often due to shame or fear of not being believed

Boris Johnson's latest deception is his most serious mistake, but far from his first. Whether condemning British people to years in prison through his gaffes, or simply insulting our allies - this man is not fit to be Foreign Secretary. Why is Theresa May too weak to sack him?

Boris Johnson, Britain’s Chief Diplomat. A proven repeated liar, complicit in a violent assault, a genuine racist, and a joke on the world stage. Is this really the best the Tories have for the Post of Foreign Secretary?

  12. Sorry, Boris, but this one is entirely on you. It doesn’t take away from my view that it is highly likely Russia is behind the Salisbury attack, but lashing out at those who point out the dangers of a slippery tongued foreign secretary is not statesmanlike. It’s cheap.

1/ Hi everyone! The debate in the last few weeks over anti-Semitism and Holocaust denial have been hard. It’s not been easy being a British Jew. Many have been supportive which I’m grateful for - but I want to channel into something constructive. I need your help please [THREAD]

2/ I have been tweeting about Labour and anti-Semitism and trying, with others, to take a constructive approach. This has been met with support but also anti-Semitic comments including the guy who told me Auschwitz had a swimming pool like a leisure centre. Not good

That's not the argument. The point is that YOU deliberately lied in an international media interview, saying that you had personally been told 'categorically' that Russia was complicit when the truth was, and is, that this is not known. Take the consequences and go.

Listen, in his own words, to Boris Johnson claim he had categorical assurances from Porton Down that the nerve agent originated from Russia. This has today been exposed as incorrect.
