@mikeash @Iossif Then I’d consider this a good thing. Just turning off all security is a bad idea anyways, and this allows exceptions.

@mikeash @Iossif Why? Sites would always tell people to disable this feature to load their software instead of using the context menu.

@mikeash @landonfuller You can skip it on a per-item basis, just not disable it permanently (via the UI).

@mikeash I heard rumors that this is only for Beta 1

@mikeash My understanding is you can ‘Open Anyway’ if you double click, or hold Option while launching.

@_vade @mikeash spctl can still set the “from anywhere” behavior.
