Just started FRIDAY THE 13TH: PART III and it reminds me: Modern horror, especially if slashers come back big, needs to return to the old technique of opening sequels with the previous movie’s entire final scene. I’m sure most audiences would hate it, haha, but I’m all for it.

I gotta be honest. After sitting through 20+ minutes of trailers before the start of a movie, if I have to sit through the last 5-10 minutes the previous one, I’d go crazy and start flinging manure everywhere. No jury would convict me.

Haha, a totally fair point. I didn’t factor the trailer marathons into it. Definitely a thing that would benefit from VOD and home viewing more than theatrical.

I’d be all for this in VOD titles if they’re done in a campfire story a la Are You Afraid of the Dark.
