Includes the important information about which version of ABBA serviced my request. For me it was 4.01 — but is that before or after Björn announced they are reforming?pic.twitter.com/vV1UCebBst

while this is all still opaque to users (genuine questions about how you make this kind of data collection not opaque), Spotify leagues ahead by realising that legally they have to make this stuff available. cc @sedyst @jorisvanhoboken
nice, is there already a form letter one can use to push for that data? :D
you can use mine, i tailored it for spotify for youhttps://www.dropbox.com/s/fx5yyrru1uvx6no/sarletter.txt?dl=0 …
awesome, thanks!

I shouldn’t have been surprised, but I was, to see how much @Sonos has collected about me
music hardware is really the worst at beaming out location and song data to random places without transparency or consent. Sony also a big culprit with v evil (and illegal) EULAs
I've pushed very hard and persistently and have still not received that data
Happened the same to me with Spotify. And also with Amazon: I requested all the clickstream data but I've been told to wait up to 90 days
everyone is invoking the 90 days rule. should have been a rule in the gdpr that every time you invoke the 60 extra days you have to record it and report it to the DPA yearly
What exactly is it logging for drag&drop? Only to Spotify or all in the system? What means connecting?
I meant songs you have dragged and dropped, and devices you have connected. But you can get some idea from the folder name. Not beyond the app but it’s hard to tell because no code book.
how far does the listening history go in this dataset? the one you get from the privacy page only gives you 90 days
i haven't parsed the whole file but i can see unix timestamps from january 2018
But what do you expect? Suggestions needs data.
this is mostly more for user interface testing that recommendations I imagine, though there might be some crossover.
Could you give an example of how an A/B testing entry looks like? We are just writing a proposal and would love to know more about it.
here you go. the experiments are referenced by ID and no codebook is provided. there is an argument the codebook would be personal data too but unclear if Spotify would allow that (cc @Nadya_Purtova)pic.twitter.com/zeQCKwJIxW
Thanks a lot! Our ministries of consumer protection are quite unaware of this, so it is good to see someevidence of it.
