I've just published an article with an old colleague of mine on how we think smart contracts on the Blockchain can be adopted by the real estate industry:

If you really want to ramp things up, you can chain CSS properties using "+" and expand them all at once.

Are there any 100% remote conferences where all the speakers and all the participants are remote? I'd love to "go" to one of those..

I once wrote a proposal that obviously was crap. The problem is that the managers never gave me any feedback other than: we're putting someone else on the task. If you help the people in your organization grow then your company will flourish. Don't just go for short wins!

I think Steve Jobs was spot on saying that you don't hire smart people and then dictate what they should do but instead hire them to tell the company what direction to go. You can't be creative without making decisions

Fear of hierarchies is bad. If someone with a so called higher rank than you is wrong, tell them! I love when ppl tell me I'm wrong. It's an opportunity for me to improve.

Many recruiters quantify people down in expertise, years, and when can you start. Many seem to forget more important questions such as what do you want to do? how can we make room for you in our organization? what areas do you want to develop? Employment is a two way relationship

Changing <div> -> <button> is not enough for a11y. Even if it helps, you don't solve a11y by learning all the rules by heart. You solve it by proper linting. Computers is really good at finding inaccessible code. Use your computer to become a better dev!

❤️ the idea. Since it uses divs & there's a rendering issue in both Chrome & Firefox, I made an accessible fork using just 1 <button> & also fixed the rendering issue in the process. Check it out on You can easily tweak corner rounding & more!

With clip-path morphing, you can create quite nice & unusual effects with very little. This is a play and pause button . Created with clip-path morphing and CSS transitions. Just a couple of divs and a CSS transition.

Software has taught me a valuable lesson about life. If you address symptoms without fixing the problem, the root cause, you're making the problem worse or at least just momentarily better. This is why I almost never take painkillers.

Many junior devs are oftwn led to believe they need to optimize for speed, memory footprint or other programming concepts. These things you once in a while need to optimize for. The one thing that you should almost always optimize for is readability.

Here’s a trick I often use: Clipping paths with invisible thin connectors to create several disconnected parts. In this case an old pen of mine. A single div illustration of Bruce Lee on Codepen
