To be fair, I also see a lot of folks who, like me, quit their job with no clue what would happen, who are now telling folks not to do the same... Advice-giving is hard.

I’ve seen way more people fail (quitting to soon) than succeed. That being said: context is everything. If you’re in your 20s, and have no dependents and low expenses... hell, go for it!

I'm with you but I think there's a point before we've built up much to lose in life, when maybe jumping in immediately IS the right move. I wish I could go back and tell myself and my like minded friends back when we were 20 to just go out and give it a try.

I think that is the #1 regret of a lot of folks, including myself - not starting sooner. That's why I love
@chrisguillebeau's add on: "if you’re single and under 25, this rule doesn’t apply." Failing with little to lose is great, but you might want to tread lightly if you do.
