A few of my regular recurring business expenses.
~$454 per month currently.
How have you reduced your monthly costs? Any tips?pic.twitter.com/2tCPsWapyu

But you're talking about $500 a month right now, or getting 2-3 more sales a month. Easy stuff: pay annually. What doesn't make sense: spend a day (+ risk) in shaving off $30/mo by migrating from Provider A to B.
Having down a few conferences and seen the slim margins (or lack thereof) really wish I hadn't run them wearing the hat of an infoproduct owner and smartened up on overhead, negotiated / shopped around, etc.
We were at 3-5% each month. It was horribly unsustainable. And it was while we were growing MRR 20-25% every month.
Your screenshot shows $2,800 of software cost cutting on $100k of MRR (2.8%), cutting that software cost was not the game changer in getting to 51% operating margins. Running a more efficient operation (and better business) was.
I’d also spend significant amounts of money for recurring revenue. No comparison between SaaS and info products for margins I’m willing to tolerate.
Bingo. Also completely different ballgame when you are talking about optimizing $100k/mo of headcount (aka running a good business) — energy on $500/mo of software expenses is better spent on product or growth.
