I'm not sure how I feel about this, but increasingly I think it's true: In today's economy, you can't be mediocre. Actually, it's harder than that: you can't even be "pretty good." You've got to differentiate yourself by being truly exceptional and unique.

Tech companies are moving faster than society can adapt. The richest 3% own over 50% of the world's wealth. They also own most of the IP and equity in the tech that's going to disrupt millions of workers. Most Americans have less than $1,000 in savings. This is bad.

Is it that tech companies are moving fast? Or that govt is moving slowly, not moving at all or in most cases going backwards in their reaction to the situation? These problems are only revelatory to the upper middle class who didn't care before their jobs were threatened.

I would argue that our problems are not technological but economic and legislative.
