Some folks (
@adii,@nathanbarry,@spencerfry) are motivated by building teams. If that's you, do it! And, sometimes, there's a direct correlation between "more people, more profit." If the case for your product, hire! But revenue doesn't always scale that way; so be careful.Pokaż ten wątek -
Assuming you, the founder, get paid the same (let's say $250k), which would you prefer? - A company with millions in revenue, but requires a team of 20 people. - A company that requires only yourself. (Assuming other costs are relatively similar)

One way to maybe frame this: do you want a “lightweight” or a “heavyweight” business? Heavyweight businesses have more moving parts, need more people, and (often) have the potential to get big. Lightweights are simpler, smaller, and less complex.pic.twitter.com/wKhy85FbVM

Feel like more people need to think about that first question (life impact/stress) before starting. They try to manage it as they go without taking their foot off the gas instead of setting groundrules before and being okay with slower/smaller success but a better life.

I know my side hustle could be generate more revenue if we took on certain types of users, but that would add expectations and overhead that don't align with my rules, especially re: family. But i went in with that mindset, so it's been easier to be ok w/ relatively less success.
