First,
@tylertringas has a great article on his SaaS predictions: https://tylertringas.com/2021-saas-market-predictions/ … I think his concept of "the end of 'empty SaaS'" is particularly good.

Likewise,
@robwalling had a great solo episode of Startups for the Rest of us where he highlights growing niches/industries in 2021:https://www.startupsfortherestofus.com/episodes/episode-536-a-few-things-i-learned-in-2020-a-rob-solo-adventure …1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 2 polubionePokaż ten wątek -
Look for opportunities where there’s evidence of existing momentum/behavior. (Don’t try to build something where you need to go from 0 awareness to 1) People should already be doing *something* about the problem you're tackling. There should be some "evidence of demand."

Look for opportunities where you can get a significant portion of the value stack. Ignore categories where existing players seem to get very little of the value stack.https://justinjackson.ca/the-main-thing

I need to re-write that article
("The Main Thing").
It's not so much about finding "THE ONE THING" but more about finding the products that get most of the value ($) in a category.

Another tip: get in motion.
Most of the folks who found a successful business idea were already in motion (often exploring other ideas).
@steveschoger & @adamwathan were building a web app (in public) when they stumbled on the idea for @tailwindcss.
