Do you know many people that are enjoying any of these? Everyone I know can't wait for schools to open back up, for physical events to start again, and most have already resumed going to gyms (if they did that before). It taught us that internet can't replace face to face.

Agreed that face to face isn’t going anywhere (see the following tweets in that thread). But, yes: many people (including me!) enjoy many of these things. I’ve been working remote since 2012 and love it. Brent: I’m way more physically active since ditching my commute.

That’s interesting. I lost ten pounds in two months after going back to the office in the fall. Hate working from home passionately.

I didn’t say I worked from home.
“Remote work” = flexible work
Remote work allowed me to move from Stony Plain, AB (where I had 2 hours of commuting every day) to Vernon, BC where I started a coworking office downtown (5 minute bike ride from my house).

Ha ha. Is that a weight loss challenge?

Lol. Nope, just telling my story!
I realize it’s not for everybody, but for me remote work = freedom and optionality.
Judging from the numbers of remote workers moving to the Okanagan, lots of people agree with me.
