Congrats! I'd wondered what remaining improvements there are to make to Transistor, and this is a huge one.

A no-brainer would be to acquire
@podcastpage (if they're interested).@TransistorFM has been an amazing experience, except for the website part. Podcastpage does podcasting websites 10x better *and* it'd be a great customer acquisition tool for Transistor.2 odpowiedzi 0 podanych dalej 2 polubione -

Great point. I'm very happy with Transistor, but my #1 wish list item is to be able to do a bit more with the website. Doesn't need to be anything fancy but e.g. controlling the nav items and making a couple additional static pages. I'd pay more for that.

Yeah! My main gripe with Transistor websites is that they are set up to funnel the visitor into *listening* to an episode. Whereas really I want to make it as easy as possible for the visitor to *open an episode in their podcasting app of choice*

100%. I always share the social sharing page because it has links to podcast apps whereas the main web site doesn't unless you click "subscribe" at the top right. I don't really care cause no one ever goes to our website, but if we had meaningful traffic, it'd bug me.

Yup, I agree with all of this. It’s something we’re felt/identified from the beginning (the current website was originally intended only for the Good News podcast). But building a CMS is no light task.
We have to be especially careful that we don’t cause way more support.1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 2 polubione -

Yup, makes sense. I suspect there's a way to add some incredibly simple tweaks that avoid the complexity of a real CMS (like having subscription options on each page). But I hear you, I say the same thing to my customers all the time.

It’s definitely something we’re planning on adding (I want it too!).
We just want to make sure that whatever we create is sustainable, and doesn’t become a monster.
