Trial to pay of 40-60% for SMB is SUPER rare. The more verticalized you are the higher the conversion. Expect 15-30%. If you are horizontally positioned, you’ll grab more trials (variety of use-cases) but you’ll convert lower. 5-10%. Don’t benchmark your SMB SaaS on 40-60% T2Phttps://twitter.com/mijustin/status/1289264443331764225 …

I've always used these numbers as a general benchmark (pulled over the years from
@robwalling and@patio11). (I've worked for three SaaS companies, and now co-own Transistor. These numbers match up with my experience)pic.twitter.com/gCurBXR5Ea

Lol. I’m not trying to get into a pissing match with you Mark. BTW - are we talking about the same thing? Trial to paid with credit card up front? 40-60% seems pretty common with all my friends running SaaS.

Sorry Justin, I shared my experience because you did (laying weight to my view point). Yup, I’m taking CC on trial. My point: I read your tweet as you sharing a conversion rate that I believe is more best in class than avg, and specific to a category within SMB, not all SMB.
