Newspapers certainly closer. But I don’t agree that newspapers let Facebook do anything. The world drastically changed and newspapers were not the correct vehicle for that commerce anymore. Not that it wouldn’t be good to still have newspapers!

But it’s just objectively better to list my old junk on Craigslist in one spot and cover everyone in driving distance rather than just my town
