“I have a new product idea...” First questions to ask: - What evidence is there that people want this? - How many people want it? How much are they spending on this problem right now? - How can you reach these folks, at scale? - Why are you the right person to build it?

I’m not a fan of the fourth point. If you’ve validated 1-3 and can actually execute then the fourth is just narrative. One thing I think we can all agree on is the tech industry could use less “founding narrative”

Number 4 is mostly about a founder’s experience, skills, and connections as it relates to their sector.
I’d been podcasting since 2012, had built a bunch of product and marketing skills, and knew tons of podcasters & industry folks which helped me launch @TransistorFM with Jon.
