This — being able to make the better choice — is my favorite part of having a small bootstrapped company. All the bad stuff we don’t like as customers ourselves — deceptive marketing, difficult cancel processes, aggressive sales goals, etc — we can just *choose* not to do it.

Sure, we could grow faster or be a larger company if we made it hard for people to cancel or emailed them constantly with spammy marketing. But we explicitly choose not to do that. We choose not to do what is bad, and I like to think that’s a reason why we have happy customers.
