My take on "The main thing": https://justinjackson.ca/the-main-thing . Inspired by the conversation on the @indiehackers podcast with @mijustin and @tylertringas .
I was able to build a moderately successful product with seemingly zero unfair advantages.

This is an interesting discussion, because I think
@mijustin is right about the market determining the success of your SaaS product. There's so much context around why some succeed and why some don't. I want to offer some insights since I had almost zero unfair advantages.1 odpowiedź 0 podanych dalej 3 polubionePokaż ten wątek -
One thing I want to underscore that I think was not discussed in the conversation, is people succeeding without a huge unfair advantage. No out side funding. No audience. First product. Beginner developer and SEO skills. Full-time job while building. A wife and 2 young kids.

Good thread! Ultimately, it’s our ability to spot good waves, paddle out to them, and ride them that will give us a chance at success. (Quick aside: you and I certainly have a ton of privilege, which definitely provides us with an unfair advantage.)

100%! Probably the most important factor.

I’m not sure if you’ve read it, but this piece is the one I feel more strongly about.

“The main thing” was more of an intellectual curiosity.
