Here's another question I received: "How much of your growth do you attribute to having built a following beforehand?" It definitely helped in the beginning (for our first ~100 customers), but after that, SEO, content, and affiliates became more important channels.

Beyond attracting initial customers, building an audience is also helpful because it improves: 1. Your connections: who you know, and who knows you. 2. Your skills: the value you can add to the world.

That’s also what we experience with
@flareappio and what we continue to hear from talking to people over our support channels. We honestly care about our users and want them to be happy. That’s something bigger companies sometimes don’t really do -
very true, your exact differentiator may be that you're small. Small enough to listen to every customer and help personally. It's like "podcast hosting for the rest of us". Also, both Justin and Marcel, you're both doing stuff for your existing audiences.
