Seriously tho, best thing I’ve learned to do then is meditate. Count to 10, increment on each in and out. I’m back asleep in under a minute. -
Trick I found to get back to sleep fast: — Inhale slowly for a count of 6 — Hold breath for count of 6 — Exhale slowly for count of 8 — Repeat *Counting focuses the mind, slowing your breathing, calms and slows heart rate

oh yes cutting out booze helped a heap... also I could run on far less sleep and still be functional...

I had that a lot with Sifter with my mind racing in the middle of the night/early morning. I started just embracing it and starting my day early and then just taking a nap once I felt tired. Trying to fight back to sleep never worked for me.

I get this a lot these days. Lots going on in my head / life. I should try Garratt’s approach, seems like the obvious answer.

I was the same. Meditation worked for me following Simple Habits or Head Space app routines. At the end the "trick" is to focus your attention on something else that is "boring" enough, like breathing .
