The trouble with your "Target Market" Entrepreneurs and investors alike always harp on the importance of your market and who your product is for. I ask founders all the time, "Who are your customers? Tell me about them." And the answers have been troubling me.

You don't necessarily need to take a really strong position or "exclude" potential customers at first, but you *do* need to focus your attention on a particular market at first. Aimless marketing efforts to anyone (or no one) doesn't tell you much about if things are working

Yeah it’s just about being relaxed/fluid with positioning and experimenting with it early on. Not locking it down and being stubborn about it. Of course that’s mainly for products that have several potential customer types
