My experience so far: - 2002: opened a snowboard shop with co-founders (did not turn out well) - 2008-2018: ran a little solopreneur business. - 2018: started Transistor with Jon There’s not one size fits all, but for software biz I’ve seen how having a cofounder is helpful.

Yep that's what I am saying. It has its pros & its cons. Your original tweet implies that having co-founders is the way to go & I think lots of people following you will think of it as it's the only way to go which is so not true. With great power comes great responsibility.

It’s very difficult to build a software company as one person. (especially if you’re bootstrapping) Almost everyone I know who has done it successfully has cofounders.
