You could be right.
But it could go the other way too.
I have no commute, and work remotely, and listen to tons of pods (even before I started @TransistorFM).

That said, as I’ve worked so much in NYC this year and walked to work , my commute has been drastically shorter and my podcast listening had dropped dramatically. Now I’m back it’s rising again but I’m way more picky. I’ll say it again, don’t shovel ads in the first breath.

I think we’re still far from saturation.
Podcasts compete with listening to radio or music. People do that everywhere: in the car, on the bus, while walking, doing the dishes.
There are 36 million YouTube channels, and only 700k podcasts. Lots of room.
