Maybe I'm just an open-web romantic, but a podcast — publicly available to all via an open RSS feed — saying that a specific app can't use that RSS feed is a bad thing. Regardless of what they are doing, it’s screwing up the data for podcasters. That’s taking money from many shows who are paid by sponsors based on data. If there is a chunk of audience not being included, it’s hurting those podcasts. 1/2

They also were editing show notes without permission! Cutting stuff out and removing urls. That’s also problematic for shows that have agreed on show notes with sponsors and collaborators. 2/2
